My name is Zach Lopez, I am a photographer + lifestyle blogger. With an emphasis on photographing luxury product, editorial, and portraiture photography.

Where are you from / call home?

I call Dallas, TX my home.

What are some simple pleasures that you’ve rediscovered during the coronavirus pandemic?

Some simple pleasures I have rediscovered since the pandemic have been making slow-brewed coffee from home, songwriting, and longer neighborhood runs/walks.

Embracing slower living

How have you and your creative process changed?

My creative process and I have changed mostly in my approach. I used to create just to create. It was stimulating, and exciting. Since the pandemic, I’ve been thinking mostly about legacy and how I want to leave a meaningful one. So through photography in my creative process I ask myself; how am I leaving in impact in the art community?, is the story I’m telling with excellence & meaning? Does it add value in anyway? I’ve become much more refined in my personal style, in what projects I want to take on, and how I execute them.

What are some of the things that have changed in your country as a result of the pandemic? What is the new normal?

I think an overall awareness to slow living has been a big one here in America. My wife and I encourage slow living practices in our daily life and to have a pandemic practically force it on society has been quite interesting to see. It’s been enjoyable to see others discovering and sharing food recipes, going on walks, writing, and so much more.

Travel from home

What was your favourite destination and why?

My favorite destination I’ve ever traveled to was Sedona, Arizona. It was the first trip my wife and I ever went on as married and I had never seen landscapes like that in person before.

What are some of your most memorable moments during the trip?

The most memorable experience was when we took a Jeep tour up the Sedona red rocks. We eventually were about 5,000 feet above sea level. Overlooking beautiful and dramatic terrains for miles.

What does travel give you that everyday life doesn’t?

Travel gives me a sense of exciting change, a pallet cleanser for what I’ve been routined to being at home.

You have an unlimited travel budget for 24 hours, where would you go?

With an unlimited travel budget for 24 hours, I would travel on the fastest private airline to the UK. Touch down in London, and make my way towards the Seven Sisters Cliff.
